Episodes and Sources

Why isn’t my new episode showing up?

Check these in order:

1. Confirm the connector is authenticated - go to Episodes -> Sources and look for warnings.
2. Open Episodes→ and check the sync status.
3. Check the notification bell in the dashboard top bar for sync or connector errors.
4. Wait a few minutes - sync intervals vary by platform.

Can I connect multiple YouTube channels or RSS feeds?

Yes. Go to Episodes -> Sources and add another source. Each source syncs independently.

How long does the first sync take?

Usually a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on how many episodes are in the feed. Large back-catalogs (500+ episodes) may take longer.

Pages and SEO

How does ShowHub help with SEO?

Every published episode page includes:

• A unique, editable <title> and <meta description>.
• Open Graph and Twitter Card tags for social sharing.
• Structured data (JSON-LD) for rich search results.
• Clean, crawlable HTML - no client-side-only rendering.

Can I edit the page URL slug?

Yes. Open the page in Pages→ and edit the slug in the SEO fields section.

Embeds

Why does my embed not load?

Common causes:

1. The data-podcast-id in the script tag is missing or incorrect - re-copy the snippet from Dashboard -> Embed.
2. Your website platform blocks inline scripts - whitelist showhubco.com in your security plugin or CSP headers.
3. You’re viewing in a preview mode that doesn’t execute scripts - check the live/published page instead.

Can I embed a single episode instead of the full player?

Yes. Add data-episode-id="EPISODE_ID" to the script tag. See Embed Customization.

Does the embed slow down my page?

No. The embed script loads asynchronously and does not block page rendering.

Transcripts

Are transcripts automatic?

On the Pro plan and above, transcripts are generated automatically when episodes sync. Starter plan users do not get auto-transcripts.

Can I edit a transcript?

Transcript editing is not currently available in the dashboard. If you spot errors, contact support.

Custom Domain

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on the Pro plan and above. See Custom Domain for setup instructions.

Does ShowHub handle SSL?

Yes. Once DNS is verified, ShowHub provisions an HTTPS certificate automatically. See SSL Troubleshooting if you run into issues.
