Episodes

The Episodes page (Dashboard → Episodes) shows where your episodes come from and every episode synced from your connected sources. It has two parts: the sync map at the top and the episode list below it.

The sync map on top, the episode list below

Sync map

The sync map, titled Where your episodes come from, draws each connected source on the left with a line running into Your site on the right. The Your site box shows how many episodes you have, how many are hidden, and (when Watch & Listen is on) how many are Watch and how many are Listen.

Sync map: click a source to change what it pulls, click a line to filter the list
  • Click a source (its name and gear icon) to open its settings drawer and change what it pulls. See YouTube sync settings below.
  • Click an output line under a source (for example All channel uploads, or Watch / Listen) to show only those episodes in the list. The count next to each line is how many episodes came from it. Click the same line again, or the filter chip above the list, to clear it.
  • Sync now pulls new episodes from every source right away.
  • Add source opens Episodes → Sources to connect another platform. See Sources for platform guides.
  • The arrow button collapses the map to a one-line summary. ShowHub remembers your choice.

A source that needs reconnecting is outlined in red with a Needs reconnecting note.

If no sources are connected yet, the map is replaced by a Connect where your episodes live card with an Add a source button.

YouTube sync settings

Clicking YouTube on the sync map opens a drawer with these settings:

SettingWhat it does
All channel uploadsPulls every public video on the channel. This is the default.
One playlistPulls only the videos in a playlist you choose from the dropdown.
Separate Watch & ListenOptional, Pro and above. Pulls audio-only versions from a second Listen playlist. Episodes are labelled Watch or Listen and can be paired. Most shows don’t need this.
Only include…Optional filters: Longer than (min), Published after, and Published before. Filters apply to Watch. A minimum length is the easiest way to skip Shorts.
PreviewUpdates as you change settings and shows how many videos will sync (out of how many are available), with thumbnails of the first few.

Click Save & sync to save and start a sync straight away. If you turn off Watch & Listen, ShowHub asks you to confirm. Episodes already synced from the listen playlist stay on your site.

Other sources (RSS, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and so on) pull everything from the source. Their drawer has Sync now and a Manage connection link.

Episode list

Episode list: click any row to open the edit drawer

Each row shows the thumbnail, title, source, status (Live, Building, or Hidden), publish date, and length. When Watch & Listen is on, a Type column shows a Watch or Listen badge. A lock icon next to the badge means you set the type by hand.

Search and filter

The toolbar above the list has:

  • Search episodes: matches titles and descriptions.
  • Type: All, Watch, or Listen (only shown when Watch & Listen is on).
  • Source: limit to one platform (only shown when you have more than one source).
  • Status: Any status, Live, Building, or Hidden.
  • Sort: newest, oldest, longest, or shortest first.
  • More: a publish date range and a length range.
  • List view / Grid view: switch between compact rows and thumbnail cards.

While filters are on, ShowHub shows Showing X of Y and a Clear filters link.

Bulk actions

Tick the checkboxes on several episodes (or the header checkbox to select everything shown) and a bar appears with:

  • Show on site / Hide from site: hidden episodes stay synced but don’t appear on your pages.
  • Mark Watch / Mark Listen: set the type of every selected episode (only when Watch & Listen is on).

Pairing Watch and Listen episodes

When Watch & Listen is on, a Watch & Listen pairing bar sits above the list. Paired episodes show as one episode on your site, with both the video and the audio version.

  • Auto-pair appears when ShowHub finds likely pairs and pairs them all in one click.
  • Review pairs opens a side-by-side view where you drag a Watch episode onto a Listen episode (or pick one of each and click Group selected pair).

Editing an episode

Click any episode to open the edit drawer. It has three tabs:

TabWhat you can change
DetailsTitle, description, publish date, length, tags, and Show on site.
Media & pairingWatch or Listen type, pairing, thumbnail URL, media URL, and (under Advanced) the GUID. Called Media when Watch & Listen is off.
TranscriptThe transcript status and text. You can paste or edit the transcript here.

Click Save changes to save your edits. Re-sync overwrites your edits with what the source has now.

Set Watch or Listen by hand

Under Shows on your site as, choose Watch or Listen. By default an episode follows the playlist it synced from, so use this when a video was uploaded to the wrong playlist.

A type you set by hand is sticky: later syncs won’t change it. To go back to the type from the source, click Reset to source. If the episode is paired, its partner switches to the other type.

Pair and unpair

Under Pairing:

  • Unpaired episode: choose the matching Watch or Listen episode from the dropdown and click Pair.
  • Paired episode: pick which version’s title and description your page uses (marked Page text), or click Unpair to split them back into two episodes.

Troubleshooting missing episodes

If new episodes don’t appear after publishing on YouTube or updating your RSS feed:

Check the sync map

A source outlined in red needs reconnecting. Reconnect it from Episodes → Sources.

Check the source’s settings

Click the source on the sync map. If it pulls One playlist or has Only include… filters, make sure the new episode matches. The Preview shows exactly what will sync.

Check your filters

Clear any filters on the list, and check the Hidden status in case the episode was hidden.

Sync now

Click Sync now on the sync map, then give it a few minutes. You can also check the notification bell in the top bar for ingest errors.
